• WHO IS ORION HOMES AND WHY SHOULD I CARE?

    • With over 2,200 residential homes for the disabled in Arizona, Orion Homes is proudly recognized as Arizona’s #1 residential solution for behaviorally challenging, hard to place cases. We’ve served our community for 10 years, with over 15 homes in the Phoenix area and growing.

  • OK, SO WHAT MAKES YOU #1?

    • Our community-based settings utilize proven systems and processes to successfully reduce the risks posed by behaviorally-challenging adults. This includes Orion Homes’ exclusive, customized treatment plans.

  • WHAT ARE SOME OTHER REASONS WHY I SHOULD SELECT ORION HOMES FOR PLACEMENT?

    • We understand what works and what doesn’t. With this vast accumulated knowledge, Orion Homes can specialize in high-risk, high-needs cases that other providers are unable or unwilling to safely accommodate. The result is that we always improve our resident’s quality of life.

  • DO YOU WORK WITH HIGH RISK PATIENTS?

    • Yes.

  • IS YOUR STAFF WELL TRAINED?

    • Yes. In addition to state-mandated training, our staff receive a wide array of training certifications and continuing education courses. As a matter of fact, the Orion Homes training program is so strong, other agencies send their caregivers to us for training.

  • WHAT IS YOUR POLICY IN DEALING WITH…

    • Medications?

    • All medications are double-locked and are administered by trained staff in accordance with doctor’s orders through our eMAR system.

    • Transportation?

    • An important feature of Orion Homes services is that transportation services are included. Our trained staff provide transportation to medical appointments, community outings and family visits. We never ask our residents to utilize taxis, buses or outside transportation companies. In addition, ALL Orion Homes vehicles have active GPS aboard to monitor the vehicle for its speed and the vehicles location. The safety of our residents is our constant focus.

    • Smoking

    • Smoking (and vaping) is allowed outside only. Our staff will follow doctor’s and guardian’s orders regarding access to cigarettes and number smoked per day.

    • Internet & Cell Phones

    • Access is available based on the individual treatment plan.

    • Visitors

    • Visiting hours are 8am - 8pm every day. Non-family visitors must remain in the common areas of the home. Guardians may establish a list of approved visitors. Access to the home by any visitor is at the discretion of staff based on the behavior of the resident and the behavior of the visitor.

    • Personal funds?

    • Personal funds are administered based on the individual treatment plan. If requested, staff will maintain a resident’s personal funds in the home safe and track their expenses and receipts in an individual ledger.

    • Family outings? (Lunch, church, shopping)

    • Based on the individual treatment plan and at the discretion of staff, family members or other approved individuals may take residents on community outings. Overnight trips for birthdays, holidays or other special events will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

  • DO YOU HAVE DAY PROGRAMS?

    • Our recreational day program in Peoria is open to all residents and has pool tables, arts & crafts, video games, exercise equipment, a movie room and an indoor basketball court. Residents also go on outings to the library, movie theater, zoo, and Humane Society.

  • WHAT IS YOUR RATIO OF STAFF TO RESIDENT?

  • DO YOUR RESIDENTS SHARE ROOMS?

    • All our residents have private rooms.

  • WHAT INSURANCE DO YOU ACCEPT?

    • MercyCare, MercyMaricopa, Banner University, United HealthCare Community Plan.

  • CAN WE ARRANGE A TOUR FOR THE FAMILY?

    • Tours are available once we have assessed a potential resident and determined which home will be most appropriate to meet their needs. At that point then we are happy to host a family to tour the exact facility the resident will be living in.
